In order to ensure that all animals that come into our rescue continue to get the best care possible in their new homes, we have a adoption process to help us match our animals to the best fit home and family. Our process begins with a short online adoption application, once you fully complete the application our team members will go over it as soon as possible. If we have any further questions we will contact you via your preferred contact method. After our team has reached a decision regarding your application, we will notify you of a approval or denial. If approved, we will then go over the adoption paperwork. It consists of a adoption contract and liability waiver. Once you verbally agree to the terms and conditions described in the adoption contract and liability waiver the animal will then be placed on a 48 hour hold for pick up. Please note we are located in Sterling Heights, Michigan. If you need more than 48 hours (2 days) to pick up your new pet, we will require that you place a non-refundable deposit of 40% of the base adoption fee for the animal to be held for a extra 7 days (one week). Deposits will be applied to the base adoption fee upon timely pickup of the animal. To place a deposit you will be asked to fill out a online deposit contract. Deposit payments can be made in cash or online via PayPal, CashApp, or Venmo. When you come to pick up your animal you will be responsible for having a adequate carrier to transport your new pet home in. You will need to sign the adoption paperwork in person when you pick up the animal, and we will give you a folder containing a copy of the paperwork for your personal records. 

In the event your application is denied you will be given a brief general explanation of the reason or grounds for denial. You will then be welcome to reapply at any time, but we strongly suggest you do your own research in the areas outlined in our brief description as to why you were denied, to avoid another denial. Please also note that if you are in any way argumentative, combative, rude, or verbally attack our team members over your denied application, you will loose your opportunity to reapply. Disrespect is 100% not tolerated by our team. We reserve the right to deny anyone for any reason with or without explanation as our team sees fit.
